Before
Katarzyna paints intuitively, draws and takes photographs; her works have been exhibited in Barcelona (Espai Caixa, Sagrada Família) and London. Social media flattens art into a grid of thumbnails: the context of each piece (technique, dimensions, series) was getting lost. What was missing was a place that would let her work resonate the way it needs.
What was built
- Three separate galleries: painting, drawing, photography, with full-screen viewing and descriptions of each work (technique, dimensions, thematic series)
- Thematic series (chakras, power animals, awakening) that are easy to extend with new works
- Workshops with a clear signup path for three formats
- Exhibition timeline: from Espai Caixa in Barcelona to the London Authors’ Meetings
- A blog about art, so the site also speaks to people who want to read, not just look
Technical challenges
A gallery that stays fast as the number of works grows (lazy loading below the first screen). On top of that, the very strong colours of the paintings had to look consistent in both the light and dark themes of the site.
What changed
The artist has one place with everything: works with context, an exhibition history and workshop signups. The tone of the copy is like her painting: personal, in the first person — the site sounds like her, not like a services catalogue.
